Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) – is a hydrocarbon—a chemical compound containing only carbon and hydrogen.
The simplest of such chemicals ere naphthalene, anthracene and phenanthrene. PAHs are organic compounds that are mostly colorless, white, or pale yellow solids. They are mostly used as intermediaries in pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, photographic products, thermosetting plastics, lubricating materials, and other chemical industries.
